Natalia Klibanov
Violin & Piano Master/Teacher
Natalia Klibanov started her music education at an early age in a special music school in Russia, where she studied violin, piano, solfegi and orchestra. She continued her music education though college [4 years] and academy, where she studied five years with distinguished teacher and performer Alexander Livont, a pupil of Piotr Stolarsky and David Oistrakh.
After graduating from Lithuanian State's Academy of Music with an advanced degree,
Mrs. Klibanov chose a performing career becoming a second concertmaster of Lithuanian State's Opera and Ballet Theater Orchestra. During her 15-year tenure with them, Ms. Klibanov played on average 25 performances a month and participated in numerous recordings and chamber music concerts.
After emigrating from Soviet Union, Natalia played with Natal Philharmonic Orchestra in Durban, South Africa and was greatly influenced by meeting and performing with such renowned guest musicians as Zubin Mehta, James Galway, Mark Drobinsky, and Sidney Harth.
Mrs. Klibanov started teaching children while a student herself and continued her commitment to young musicians' education through her career. She became a full time teacher after immigrating to the United States in 1996. She was a member of the National and Minnesota Music Teachers Association with highest certification level in violin and piano, successfully preparing her students for orchestra and college auditions and competitions. She feels very fortunate to share her knowledge and love for music with young musicians at famous Polonsky Piano School. |
